Tour rules

Play will be in groups of 2 or 3 balls, 18 or 36 hole stroke play. Play off or Shootout will be used to determine the winner.

Each member of the 66 Pro Tour must adhere to the R & A Rules of Golf and local rules of the host club and conduct his or herself with the highest standards in professionalism at all times. Slow play will not be tolerated and will be subject to penalties. Players must ensure they are prepared and ready to play at the assigned tee. If you are not on the tee in time to play you may be disqualified.

Tour guidelines

Rules for the tournaments will be under R and A rules of golf and local rules to be determined by the Tour in cooperation with the host club.

Appeals for breaches of rules and conditions must be referred to the tour directors immediately upon completion of play. The tour directors decision, in some cases based upon the officials report, is final.

A Tour Panel / Committee of 3 players will represent the tour players and advise in the interpretation of tour guidelines and other matters including code of conduct and any action taken will be reviewed by the committee should this be deemed necessary.

Slow Play will not be tolerated. The first time carries a warning from an official, the second time carries a 2 stroke penalty.

One Ball rule applies.

Driving Clubs conformity as the R and A of St Andrews list.

Grooves on Iron Clubs to be consistent with R&A advice the tour will NOT be adopting the new condition of competition rule relating to grooves on iron clubs.

Mobile Phone use is strictly prohibited. Penalty for use is disqualification.

Range Finders (except those measuring slope) will be allowed.

Players Attire as befitting a professional golfer and per the host club requirement. No denim, shorts, sandals , trainers etc. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Caddie Attire – non spiked shoes / trainers only, tailored shorts with belt acceptable and collared shirts or turtle neck shirts only.

Suspension of Play, when play is suspended for any situation, the player shall mark their ball and seek suitable shelter. Play will not be resumed until officials have ordered and practice is not allowed during a suspension of play.

Code of Conduct any players or players caddie displaying inappropriate behavior unbecoming of a professional golfer, abusive or profane language, breaking or throwing clubs, causing damage to the course, will be subject to suspension from the tour. Any player unfairly and outspokenly critical of the course and venue officials will be subject to disciplinary action. Legitimate concerns or comments should always be directed to the tour directors.

Officials will be present at each event; Tour Administrator, Starter, Tour Referee, Tour Director.

The Tour Directors reserve the right to amend or adjust the Tour Guidelines when necessary.

Overseas Players

Under current legislation, we will need to deduct UK tax from prize money for overseas players.
